These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and translation services provided by Gabriel Translations ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Gabriel Translations provides professional translation services in various languages for documents, websites, multimedia content, and other materials. Our services include but are not limited to:

2. Service Orders
2.1. Quotes and Pricing: We provide quotes based on the information you provide, including word count, language pair, subject matter, and delivery timeline. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
2.2. Order Confirmation: Your order is confirmed upon our receipt of your written acceptance of our quote and any required payment. We may require a deposit for certain projects.
2.3. Changes to Orders: Any changes to your order after confirmation may result in price adjustments and extended delivery times. We reserve the right to charge additional fees for substantial modifications.
3. Delivery and Acceptance
3.1. Delivery Timeline: We will deliver translations according to the agreed-upon timeline. While we make every effort to meet deadlines, delivery times are estimates and may be affected by factors beyond our control.
3.2. Acceptance Period: You have 7 days from delivery to review translations and request revisions. After this period, translations are considered accepted.
3.3. Revisions: We offer one round of revisions at no additional cost for issues related to accuracy, terminology, or style. Additional revisions or changes to the source material may incur extra charges.
4. Payment
4.1. Payment Terms: Payment is due according to the terms specified in your quote. For new clients, we may require full payment in advance.
4.2. Late Payments: Late payments may incur interest charges of 1.5% per month. We reserve the right to suspend services for accounts with outstanding balances.
4.3. Payment Methods: We accept payment by credit card, bank transfer, and other methods specified on our website.
5. Confidentiality
5.1. Client Materials: We treat all client materials as confidential and implement appropriate measures to protect your information. Our translators sign confidentiality agreements.
5.2. Exceptions: Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that is publicly available, required to be disclosed by law, or already known to us without an obligation of confidentiality.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1. Ownership: Upon full payment, you own the translation deliverables. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to translate the original content.
6.2. Our Rights: We retain the right to use general knowledge, skills, and experience gained during the provision of services.
6.3. Portfolio: Unless you specifically request otherwise, we may mention your name as a client and include general information about projects (without disclosing confidential content) in our portfolio.
7. Warranties and Limitations
7.1. Service Warranty: We warrant that our translations will be performed by qualified professionals with reasonable skill and care.
7.2. Disclaimer: We do not guarantee that translations will be error-free or suitable for your specific purposes. We are not responsible for errors resulting from unclear or inaccurate source materials.
7.3. Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific translation in question. We are not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages.
8. Termination
8.1. By You: You may cancel an order before we begin work with no penalty. If we have already started work, you are responsible for paying for work completed.
8.2. By Us: We may terminate services if you breach these Terms, provide illegal or inappropriate content, or fail to provide necessary information or cooperation.
9. General Provisions
9.1. Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Cameroon without regard to conflict of law principles.
9.2. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be submitted to arbitration in Douala, Cameroon.
9.3. Amendments: We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9.4. Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
